Stop ending posts with a question
“What do you think?” rarely starts a conversation. Here’s what to end on instead, with three rewrites.

The post we’re taking apart
Questions feel polite, but read as filler
Ending with “Thoughts?” asks the reader to do work you didn’t do. The comments that follow are usually short and generic, because the question was.
End on the line people will quote
Leah’s post about the fund that passed on her ended on a sentence, not a question: being right is less useful than being funded. It became her most shared post because people reposted that line with their own story underneath.
If you want comments, give people something to agree or disagree with. A clear opinion invites more replies than an open question ever will.
